How do I choose between Science, Commerce, and Humanities after Class 10?
We start with IAP psychometric testing — a scientifically validated assessment of your interests, cognitive strengths, and personality traits. A counselor then walks through the results with you in a one-on-one session, mapping them against your actual goals and market realities, so the stream you pick is a fit rather than a guess.
What is IAP psychometric testing?
IAP stands for Interest, Aptitude, and Personality — a structured assessment that evaluates all three together, rather than just an aptitude score in isolation. It's the starting point for both stream selection and long-term profile building, since it tells us what a student is genuinely suited to before we plan around it.
When should profile building start?
Class 9 is our recommended starting point — early enough to explore interests, clubs, and competitions before committing to a direction. The program runs through Class 12: certifications and first projects in Class 10, internships and research in Class 11, and consolidation into essays and applications in Class 12.
What does the student patent filing program involve?
A six-step process: ideation and filtering for patentability, a technical write-up with a 3D model where applicable, a prior art search to confirm novelty, filing the application with the Indian Patent Office, handling any objections (First Examination Reports), and finally the grant itself. It's an exclusive, limited-enrollment program — students are evaluated before being taken on.
Which countries do you help students apply to for study abroad?
The USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Support covers the full process — university shortlisting, personal statements and essays, letters of recommendation, visa guidance, and scholarship applications — plus test preparation for the SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE where relevant.
Is MentorGates only for students planning to study abroad?
No. We support Indian college admissions just as directly — JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CUET preparation and applications, alongside direct admissions to top Indian institutions. Career counseling and stream selection are relevant whether a student ends up applying in India, abroad, or both.
